Location: Northeast Region, US How You Will Make an Impact? The Regional Sales Director is primarily responsible for attaining or exceeding team sales goals by recruiting and developing a high-performing sales team, setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable, directing sales efforts with specific customer groups, and growing regional sales of existing customers and conquest accounts.
The Regional Sales Director actively participates in regional customer events, oversees management of the regional chassis pool, and forecasts and manages the regional sales and expense budgets.
The Nuts and Bolts Preparing and managing to meet or exceed the business plan in dollars and units for the region.Managing all regional customer segments, Distributors, Regional Lease, Ryder, Penske, & Fleet Accounts.Managing regional DSO's.Personal skills including professional appearance, time management, Morgan and competition product knowledge, various chassis product knowledge, vocational and application knowledge, and proficiency with Morgan IT resources.Other duties as assigned.Required Credentials Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field.Minimum 10 years of successful sales experience, including at least five years of sales leadership experience, preferably in the commercial truck body, truck, leasing, or related industry.Excellent knowledge of medium duty truck market (preferred), customer segments, and sales strategies.Demonstrated expertise in product knowledge and the associated processes within the company regarding following an order from "quote" to "delivery", follow-up service e.g. warranty, and general customer care.Ability to travel throughout the region to meet customer needs and sales.Excellent organizational and analytical skills.Problem-solving ability.You Must Be Able to Work in an office environment in a seated position for a minimum of eight hours per day. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques are required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files or computer printouts on occasion.
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
