The Sales Support Manager assists the branch(es) and sales with internal and external quotes, managing RFQ's as well as other internal or external requests.
Will serve as a link between sales, branches, operations and customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Ensure highest level of data quality by performing random audits to ensure teams are quoting rates accurately.Assist sales, department manager and colleagues in compiling quotesEnsure customer files and profiles contain all necessary documentsCompetency in pricing all products and servicesAssist with follow-up on sales leads in conjunction with the Regional Sales DirectorProvide sales support to sales force and customersRespond to customer requests with quick and accurate informationProvide support on developing customer SOP's in coordination with department managers and salesAct as a liaison between sales, operations and customersWork with sales force and team members to meet sales objectivesAttend customer visits with sales and operations; as neededCreate and lead customer rate cards/responses for monthly, quarterly, and annual bidsProvide quote analytics measuring KPIs for defined sales support metricsResponsible for training, mentoring and guiding teams on organizational goalsAssist with other tasks as assigned by the Country Regional Sales DirectorCommunicate vetting and approval process for RFQs managed locally SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent may supervise sales coordinatorsQUALIFICATIONS: Excellent organizational skillsExcellent communication written and verbal skillsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office suiteDetail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlinesSelf-motivated, able to work in a team and independentlyKnowledge of all custom law, practices and procedures EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree preferredMinimum 3 years' experience in international transportation (air/ocean)Minimum 2 years experience in international transportation quotes/rate proposalsExtra languages a plus ENVIRONMENT:
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
