Job Description Wythe County Public Schools October 24, 2024 Qualifications Must be certified as a Registered Behavior TechnicianBachelor's degree preferred, plus a minimum of six months prior work experience providing individual instructionsDemonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAble to work independently and as part of a teamDemonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detailResponsibilities Provide 1:1 treatment to individuals in need of behavioral therapy in the school settingImplementation of behavioral procedures for the acquisition of replacement skills and reduction of problematic behaviors under the supervision of a BCBAProvide adequate feedback regarding progress to BCBAAssist with various assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, Preference Assessments...) as directed and supervised by the BCBAWrite progress notes, collect data, update, and maintain client data and graphs under the supervision of BCBAUnderstands and adheres to the company's policy and proceduresWork effectively as a team contributor on all interactions and assignmentsWork independently while understanding the importance of constant communication and coordinating work efforts with BCBA and school staffSupport, train, and coach parents and/or caregivers in behavior management strategies to increase the generalization of client skill setsParticipate in weekly supervision and team meetings with the behavior teamParticipate in progress and IEP review meetings with the IEP team, inclusive of familyObserve client skills and collect information/data as directed by the BCBA to be used in assessing client skills and developing client goalsCreate program materials, as needed and/or directed by the BCBAOther duties as assignedTerms of Employment: 210 Days per year
