Job Brief:
Our growing dental practice is searching for a detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant who can assist the dentist during patient appointments in a relaxing, non-rushed environment. We are looking for someone who is committed to excellent patient care, including infection control, instrument maintenance, and patient education. Responsibilities: Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring patient comfort. Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for dental treatments, take dental X-rays, and maintain patient records and charts on the computer. Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, maintain a clean and sterile environment, and ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials. Instrument Maintenance: Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments, as well as order and maintain dental supplies. Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care guidelines. Skills Required: Dental Assisting Certification: Must be a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or have completed a Dental Assistant program. X-ray Certification: Possess X-ray certification. Cosmetic and implant dentistry knowledge is a plus. Digital dentistry knowledge is a plus. Infection Control Knowledge: Familiarity with infection control practices and OSHA regulations and have met CA required training hours. Dental Software Proficiency: Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., CurveHero) is a plus. Patient-Centric Approach: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with patients. Organizational Skills: Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep treatment areas and instruments organized. Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cohesively within a dental team. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
