Job Description:Facilitates the nutrition care process in order to provide the patient with optimal medical nutrition therapy.Posting DetailsShift: Day shift. Weekends/Holiday in rotation with others on the team.Full Time 40 hrs/weeklyScopeCounsels and instructs outpatients and/or families providing written instruction materialsEvaluates and documents patient and/or caregiver understanding of diet based on behavioral objectives.Evaluates, interprets and uses pertinent current research relating to nutrition in order to develop and revise education materials and teaching outlinesResponds to telephone requests/referrals, sending information as appropriate.Participates in programs and education for staff, patients and community.Documentation and Billing.Documents patient visits and bills patients for services according to established policy and procedures.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree with dietetic internship or equivalent is requiredRegistration with the ADA Commission on Dietitian Registration is required Current BLS or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire is requiredPreferredTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
