As the Registered Dietitian, you'll be responsible for the nutritional care and education of all patients/residents in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, our established policies and procedures, through physician/nurse referral. \n What You'll DoReviews the dietary requirements of each patient/resident, as required, and assist the attending physician in planning for the patients/residents prescribed diet plan. Ensure that all interdisciplinary notes charted are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the patients/residents' response to the services. Participates in discharge planning, development and implementation of patient care plans, patient assessments, etc., as required. Involves the patient and family in planning objectives and goals for the patient. Plans normal and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physicianEvaluate and ensure accuracy in the preparation of documentation. *Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Provide information and other relevant updates audibly to patients, caregivers and interdisciplinary team members as necessary. Develop and participate in programs designed for in-service education, on-the-job training and orientation classes for newly hired personnel. Respect and maximize team effort through interactions with both clinical and support staff. Positively interfaces with patient care teams and works in positive collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Maintain your required licenses, certifications, and mandatory skill updates. Comply with all policies, local, state and federal laws and regulations. Provide other duties of the healthcare team member. Perform other duties as assigned. What You NeedCurrent State of Florida license as a dietitian (Is a must). Registration or eligibility with the CDR of the American Dietetic Association. BS in clinical dietetics or foods/nutrition;plus, one-year internship or equivalent, or master's degree is required. Minimum of one-year clinical dietetics experience preferred. Skilled Nursing and IRF experience preferred. Must be able to provide own transportation to various locations in service areas, as required by duties. Must have knowledge of computer office/clinical software. Must be able to read, write and understand the English language. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 250+ pounds, walk, climb stair or ladders, stand on feet for extended periods of time, etc. Salary & BenefitsLocation: West Miami, FL. Salary: $70,000 - $85,000/ Year This is a full-time, long-term position. On-Site Full medical plan, PTO, sick time, 403b 50% match up to 3%, and pension.
