Main responsibility supports a timely and thorough admission process to contribute to patient safety and provisions of excellent, patient centered care.Schedule: Full-time, 4 10 hour shifts per week. 9am- 7pm. Weekend rotation required.Respond to requests for admission/discharge assistance in departments throughout the hospital.Assist staff nurses with patient procedures such as phlebotomy, initiation, or discontinuation of IVs relative to the admission/discharge process.Provides supervision of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit.Supervises unit activities when assigned to charge role.Acts as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested.Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.Valid license as Registered Nurse in Connecticut.BSN strongly preferred.Certifications – BLS, ACLS, NIHSS#RN123
