Unit DescriptionThe Registered Nurse will be responsible for managing and coordinating care for the post-procedural extended recovery, and/or the observational care patient in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the management of patient care utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes. The nurse directs and guides the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and all care related activities, while maintaining standards of professional nursing collaborating with other disciplines as appropriate. The RN may be required to float. BLS or ACLS required with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire. Completion of Cardiac Rhythm course within 3 to 6 months required. Completion of Critical Care course within 3 to 6 months required.
Requirements:Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of New York required.Appropriate experience in specific clinical area.
