Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our dynamic medical-surgical team on the evening/night shift.
The Charge Nurse will play a critical role in overseeing patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical-surgical unit.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff on the night shift.
Assess patient needs, create care plans, and implement nursing care.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor and record patient vital signs and progress.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Act as a resource for the nursing team, offering guidance and support.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications: Current Missouri RN (Registered Nurse) license.
One to two years of charge nurse experience is preferred but not required.
Previous nursing experience in medical/surgical and ICU settings.
BLS, ACLS & PALS certification desired (must be willing to obtain after hire) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
