Job DescriptionJob Overview: The EP Device Clinic Registered Nurse position independently performs device interrogation, programming, and remote transmission under the supervision of TriHeatlh Heart Institute Physicians.
Provides education to patients regarding their device, home monitor, and triages patient calls with device related issues.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing For Breast Center positions, Certified Breast Care Nurse (ONCC) is required within one year of hire Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Registered Nurse Current Ohio licensure Knowledge of the specialty or population served Ability to work effectively on a multi-disciplinary team 1-2 years experience in Nursing Job Responsibilities: Plans care for participants and family based on assessment, standards of care, and optimal outcomes.
Initiates and individualizes appropriate patient care guidelines.
Maintains current plan of care by updating as needed.
Educates patients with resources pertaining to device function, disease process and treatment plans.
Appropriately assesses patient calls to facilitate optimal care.
Evaluates device functions in the office and remotely.
Assesses, implements, and communicates device adjustments per patient needs and physician orders.
Assesses new implant site for signs and symptoms of infection.
Utilizes critical thinking skills in daily care of the patients including accurately receiving, interpreting, and executing physician orders.
Serves as a role model for behavior, decorum, and interpersonal relationships with the staff and collegial, professional relationships with the physicians.
Possesses a high degree of initiative and ingenuity.
Maximizes teamwork and provides a positive environment.
Serves as a resource for the clinic staff for any device clinic questions.
Provides education for staff as necessary.
Demonstrates organizations responsibilities: Identifies areas for self improvement, maintains current knowledge in area of practice, demonstrates knowledge of organizational and practice changes.
