Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Room Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of experience with conscious sedation, ventilators, dysrhythmias management, IV start, and procedural sedation administration.
1 prior travel assignment completed.
License: Pending DC license accepted, must have license prior to the start date.
Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - PALS - NIH - CPI (preferred) - ENPC (preferred) - TNCC (preferred) - BSN (preferred) Must-Have: - Flu Vaccine (required, no exemptions) - Willingness to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity - Ability to work every other weekend - No on-call requirement Job Description: - Work in a short-term acute care teaching hospital with a total of 402 staffed beds.
- Provide care in the emergency department with typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
- Charting system experience in Cerner with the ability to use the Pyxis medication system and First Net/Power Chart documentation system.
- Maintain professionalism while possibly coming into contact with COVID patients.
- No scrubs provided, wear any color without other hospital logos.
- Participate in a 28-hour orientation with 50% non-billable hours.
- Modules required pre-start and potentially during orientation; may vary by specialty.
- Be prepared to work without initial interview.
- Meet the return staff policy if previously employed at this facility.
Please note, preference will be given to those who can commit to no more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract, and no requested time off during the first two weeks of the assignment.
