What You'll Be Doing:Patient Care Management: Utilize the nursing process—including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver comprehensive patient care. Direct and coordinate all aspects of nursing care for assigned patients, collaborating with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise data collection for both direct and indirect patient care. Ensure documentation accurately reflects the care provided, is completed on appropriate hospital forms, and adheres to established timeframes.Patient Education: Provide timely and appropriate health information to patients and their significant others. Supply written materials as needed and document educational interactions.Quality Improvement: Contribute to enhancing nursing care quality by identifying and participating in performance improvement initiatives.Professional Accountability: Take responsibility for your professional practice and development. Stay informed about current nursing practice standards and hospital policies. Maintain a positive professional image through appearance and behavior.Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours as needed.Ethics and Compliance: Adhere to the hospital's Ethics and Compliance program. Detect, observe, and report any compliance variances to your immediate supervisor, through the chain of command, or the Compliance Officer.What You Bring:Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing with current licensure in the State of Ohio or multi-state with Ohio recognized.A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.Completion of twenty-four (24) contact hours of approved Continuing Education (CE) during each two (2) year licensure renewal period as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing.Continuous certification in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).Certification in American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of employment and maintenance of bi-annual renewal thereafter.Completion of National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification within six (6) months of hire and annual renewal thereafter.Completion of Behavioral Health & De-Escalation Training (BHDT) within six (6) months of hire and annual renewal thereafter.Why Join Us:At Memorial, we uphold values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service in everything we do.
