Job Title: Registered Nurse II
Base Rate: $43.41- $60.79
12 hr.
shifts- overtime is paid after 8 hours, resulting in an average rate of $50.65-$70.92
Sign-on/Retention Bonus: $10,000 /Full Time Only
Job Summary: Responsible for the provision and coordination of patient centered care.
The Registered Nurse, RN, coordinates care to achieve desired outcomes, participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively and collaboratively with ancillary, nursing and other patient team members in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice and performance in the clinical setting.
The RN must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service to all patients.
Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.
Essential functions apply to all RN positions along with additional department specific functions as listed.
ICU:
Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit.
Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their families.
Manage ventilators and artificial airways.
Respond to medical emergencies.
Education/Experience:
Two (2) years' experience preferred in the area applied for.
In-depth knowledge of best practices in area/specialty applied for
Adaptable to changing work schedules and patient needs.
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.
Licensure/Certifications:
Current RN license issued and/or recognized by the state Board of Nursing for the State of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA), required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from American Heart Association (AHA), required.
