Its team of experts works to create a treatment plan to meet each patient's specific needs. The center's outpatient infusion center offers chemotherapy and supportive services, including 18 private rooms for treatment sessions six hours or longer. Summary of Essential Duties:Assist with in office procedures, clinic flow, practice management, and help to facilitate continuity of careManage outpatient chemotherapy schedule, set up new oral chemotherapy medications electronically and manage monthly prescriptionsTelephone triage of clinic patients with needs ranging from chemotherapy, results review, symptom managementManage acute and chronic side effects after autologous stem cell transplant.Administer intermuscular and subcutaneous chemotherapy injections, in addition, work with CADD pumps for continuous infusions, access, de-access and trouble shoot PAS-ports and chest ports.Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, treatment side effects QualificationsQualifications:Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program requiredBSN preferredLicense/Certification:Current, unrestricted RN license in the State of CaliforniaBLS certification from the American Heart Association requiredOncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or willing to obtain within a year from hire/start dateExperience:Competency in intravenous skills and vascular access device management requiredA minimum of 3 year of acute care nursing experience requiredAt least 3 years of experience in oncology nursing Req ID : 3423Working Title : Registered Nurse III - Cancer Center Exams - 8 Hour DaysDepartment : Cancer Center ExamsBusiness Entity : Cedars-Sinai Medical CenterJob Category : NursingJob Specialty : NursingOvertime Status : NONEXEMPTPrimary Shift : DayShift Duration : 8 hourBase Pay : $56.14 - $89.82
