Job Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to inmates/patients in a correctional facility setting.Assess health status, develop nursing care plans, and implement nursing interventions.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.Monitor inmates' health conditions and respond to medical emergencies.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.Provide health education to inmates on various health topics.
Essential Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado.American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Desired Experience
Prior experience in correctional nursing or a similar healthcare setting.Experience working with diverse populations and individuals with mental health challenges.Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.Experience in managing chronic medical conditions and providing preventive care.
