Additional requirements include: BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire ACLS and PALS are required within six (6) months of hire Three (3) to five (5) years of OR Circulator experience required BSN preferred CNOR certification preferred Department/Unit Summary The RN utilizes nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in PACU setting, acts as patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in surgical procedures, disease processes, interventions, PACU supplies and equipment, and pharmacological agents. The Innovative Call RN will be scheduled five (5) twelve (12) hour call shifts, Sunday 1900 through Friday 0700.  This position will serve as the RN circulator call for surgical services after hours and will be required to have a 20-minute response time.  Additionally, the RN holding this bid is exempt from the weekly call rotation but will rotate through the holiday call rotation. Actual hours worked on a holiday will be paid at time and one-half (1 1/2) and the Innovative Call RN will not be required to use PAL time to equal eight (8) hours on holidays.  RNs in this position will be paid a minimum of forty (40) hours per week at their base rate of pay. Overtime will be paid on any actual hours worked above forty (40) hours in a work week.
