Overview:
ANNUAL SALARY (DEPENDING ON SKILLS/EXPERIENCE): $99,840.00 - $117,511.68 SCOPE: The Infusion RN will be responsible for the delivery of care to infusion patients under the supervision of physicians utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning intervention, implementation and evaluation; effectively interacts with patient, significant others and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
STATUS: Full Time position.
LOCATION: Travel between our Antioch and Pleasant Hill clinic.
Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Direct/Indirect patient care providing chemotherapy treatment and miscellaneous treatments.
Complete physical assessment of patients in the office and/or by phone triage.
Utilize electronic medical record for documentation of all direct and in-direct patient care on appropriate nursing charting forms.
Schedule chemotherapy treatments/ appointments Help monitor patient compliance with therapy and continuity of care Maintain sites infusion center safety and compliance.
Acts as patient advocate for psychosocial needs Understand both lab and pharmacy operations in order to provide assistance with on-site processing and infusion mixing.
Other responsibilities, as determined by Assistant Nurse Manager and/or Nurse Manager.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities): 4 Year BSN preferred 2 Year ADN required RN CA license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing ONS Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification required Oncology Certified (OCN) preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 3 Year Clinical Nursing required 2 Year Oncology Outpatient Infusion Center preferred 2 Year Epic EMR preferred WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.
