**Description** _**Summary:**_In a High Reliability Organization, Infection Preventionist is responsible formonitoring and implementing Infection Surveillance, Prevention, and Control.Responsible for facilitation of the local infection prevention and controlprogram under the direction of the Infection Prevention or Quality Leader.Serves as a resource on, infection risk assessment, surveillance, prevention,and control strategies. Acts as a resource to the members of the managementteam in reference to guidelines for infection prevention and control. Utilizesepidemiology principles to monitor the delivery of patient care andinvestigate potential outbreaks of infection. Assists with the facilitation ofaction plans to mitigate the risk of infection spread through collaborationwith leadership. Maintains knowledge of external regulatory standards relatedto infection surveillance, prevention, and control and contributes to thehospitals policies and practices, as related to infection prevention andcontrol per CDC and State guidelines.CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospitalserving the fastest growing area of San Antonio.
