Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (Lpn)

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:· Verifies daily staffing and redistribution, as necessary;· Responsible for the coordination of total resident care;· Must have knowledge of dietetic, sanitation, and personal hygiene.· Must have knowledge of medications, their proper dosage and expected results.· Makes rounds, morning and night, as time allows, to assess residents condition, giving special attention to critically ill residents;· Ensures that the individual nursing care plan is followed for each resident;· Performs medication passes and/or direct resident care as needed;· Participates in resident care committee meetings;· Reinforces the training and orientation of nursing personnel and provides positive reinforcement;· Answers any/all emergencies throughout the shift (i.e., change of resident condition or pronouncement of death);· Assists in assuring a safe and sanitary environment for residents, employees, and visitors;· Assures that the building is secure during the evening and night hours by checking doors and alarms according to nursing facility protocols;· Reviews incident and investigative reports for accuracy and completeness;· Assists in development and implementation of nursing facility Quality Improvement Program;· Ensures that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals' needs and rights;ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:· Must possess a valid RN/LPN license, in good standing in accordance with laws of this state, from an approved NJ Nursing School of Nursing.· Comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines, as applicable.· Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED or at least two (2) years of experience in the healthcare field and/or related industry.· Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and above all, maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to the residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.· Must maintain the highest standards in caring and servicing the needs of the residents and residents' family members and loves ones.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Per diemExpected hours: 20 – 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Geriatrics* Hospice & Palliative Medicine* Psychiatry* Wound CarePhysical Setting:* Long term care* Nursing home* Rehabilitation centerSupplemental Pay:* Bonus opportunities* Overtime pay* Signing bonusWork Location: In person
