*Job Summary:*OrthoLA is an orthopaedic practice specializing in treating individuals and athletes of all ages with musculoskeletal injuries that affect their ability to function. Our mission is to provide exceptional care and improve the quality of life for our patients through personalized treatment plans and advanced medical techniques.We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a skilled RN or LPN with a background in orthopedic care, particularly in the management of spinal disorders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in pre and post-surgical care and will have a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Experience in a spine clinic or operating room is preferred.*Duties/Responsibilities:*· Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients.· Assists physician as requested during treatment.· Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.· Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-operative care.· Assist in preparing patients for orthopedic procedures, including obtaining necessary consents and ensuring proper documentation.· Conduct routine assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations.· Coordinate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and address any patient concerns.· Document patient interactions, care provided, and progress accurately and comprehensively.· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.· Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with other healthcare providers as needed.*Required Skills/Abilities: *· Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform assessments, administer treatments, and manage complex patient needs.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.· Professional, dependable, and maintains positive attitude in fast-paced environment.· Self-directed, goal-oriented and exemplifies strong leadership.· Organized and able to multi-task to facilitate efficient workflow.· Knowledgeable of medical terminology and general medical practice operations.· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.· Basic office skills such as typing, filing, and operating phones.*Education and Experience:*· Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or certificate from accredited LPN program.· Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Louisiana.· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.· Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in an orthopedic or spine-related setting.Physical Requirements:· Prolonged periods of standing, frequent walking, sitting, bending.*Compensation/Benefits:*· Health insurance, life insurance, 401(K) with company match, PTO, paid holidays, employee perks· Salary dependent upon each individual candidate's unique qualifications, experience, skills, education, and training.This is an in-person position based primarily in Thibodaux, LA.
