Responsibilities:
Record details and symptoms of patient medical history and current health
Prepare patients for exams and treatment
Administer medications and treatments, then monitoring patients for side effects and reactions
Create, implement, and evaluate patient care plans with the medical team
Perform wound care, such as cleaning and bandaging
Assist in medical procedures as needed
Operate and monitor medical equipment
Draw blood, urine samples, and other body fluids for lab work
Educate patients and family members on treatment and care plans, as well as answering their questions
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Registered Nurse Qualifications/Skills:
Clinical skills
Bedside manner

Health promotion and maintenance
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN)
BSN degree
Active applicable state licensure in NM
American Heart Association issued BLS and ACLS
Clean background check and clean drug screen
