Job Title: Registered Nurse - NICU Job Specialty: NICU Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid CA license in hand Certifications: BCLS, NRP, Fire & Life Safety Card Must-Have: - 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting- Epic experience preferred- LA fire card within the last 30 days Job Description: - Responsible for caring for neonates in the NICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.- Open to first-time NICU nurses with appropriate experience.- Required to work equivalent of every other weekend, including Saturday, Sunday, and 2 additional Fridays in a 6-week schedule.- No on-call requirement, but must be prepared to float between like units within the facility as a nursery or transition role nurse.- Participation in baby transition care when delivery volumes are high.- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.- Expectation to complete non-billable modules, averaging 16 hours, before start and annually.- Mandatory 40 hours of orientation provided.This role offers a dynamic work environment in a Magnet-designated Acute Care Hospital.
