Unlock your potential at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak!Job Summary and Qualifications1. Coordinate stroke services & protocols to ensure compliance with appropriate governing agencies. 2. Demonstrate excellence in practice through full role functions: practitioner, educator, consultant, & leader. 3. Develop & review policies & procedures in relation to stroke care of patients. 4. Develop & implement stroke protocols, participates in stroke patient rounds to identify issues & resolutions. 5. Serve as a liaison for MHS with pre-hospital providers, other stroke centers, tertiary centers, regional hospitals, & community & government agencies. 6. Develop & maintain quality improvement to obtain objective data for overall analysis of the stroke program & development of improved methods of care to ensure quality stroke care. 7. Participate & represent MHS in local, state, regional, & national organizations that support stroke patient care 8. Assist in monitoring quality & identify areas for improvement in the care or protocols. 9. Manage the orientation & training, staff development, problem resolution, & evaluating performance.What qualifications you will need:Mandatory: Graduate of a school of nursing Prefer: Master's degree (MSN) Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of hospital nursing experience in a Critical Care or Emergency nursing.Mandatory: Must have recent experience & proficiency with computer databases, word processing, & spreadsheet programs.Mandatory: Current Texas RN licensePrefer: NIH Stroke Scale certificationMethodist Hospital Stone Oak is accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center.
