As an RN in OR setting you will collaborate with other members of the health care team including physicians, to deliver quality health care. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra-operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs.What you will do in this role:Recognize and address urgent and emergent surgical situationFoster continuity and quality of care in the best interests of patientsAssess and monitor patients' medical status while in the ORAssess patient's condition and monitor vitals, providing general nursing careEnsure the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipmentKeep the operating room sterilizedReview charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocolsCommunicate effectively with patients, teammates, and physicians to ensure continuity of careRequirements: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is requiredMinimum 1 year previous perioperative experience or completion of Perioperative Nursing course preferred1 year of RN experience in an Acute Care environment preferredBSN is preferredBLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA Healthcare provider) requiredCNOR preferredHCA Florida North Florida Hospital is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center.
