The Staff RN assigned to the Surgical Intermediate Unit cares for adult and geriatric surgical and orthopedic patients We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other, and we are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What You Will Do In Your Role: You will plan and prioritize age and specialty appropriate care of each patient assigned by communicating relevant information to appropriate healthcare professionalsYou will competently and accurately complete age appropriate comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessment of patients; takes nursing history assessment to identify nursing diagnosis/patient care needsYou will evaluate the patient/family response to, and outcome(s) of, implemented care and modifies the plan of care accordinglyYou will implement and direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs of individual Telemetry patientsYou will promote, initiate or coordinate interdisciplinary care provision in an open communication system with patients, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, and with all other persons who influence patient progress What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is requiredCurrent Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 530+ bed hospital where sophisticated, world-class medicine meets the comfort, care and convenience of a community hospital.
