Registered Nurse - Picu @ Medstar Georgetown University Hospital

Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: PICU Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years with vents, CPAP and/or BIPAP, and Central Line Care; 1 prior travel assignment completed License: Pending license accepted, but must have a valid license prior to start date Certifications: BLS, PALS, IV Start Certification preferred Must-Have: - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) - Willingness to float to NICU as needed Job Description: - Position involves care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - Requires availability for a variable day/night schedule - Every other weekend work required, with no on-call requirement - Nurse will be responsible for a patient ratio of 1:2-3 - Employees may come into contact with COVID-19 patients - Orientation includes 28 hours, with modules and training requirements prior to and during orientation - Comply with the local radius rule and preferences for local hires at a reduced rate - Must have two supervisory references for application - Previous employees must have a gap of at least 1 year before returning as a traveler in this role This position offers a unique opportunity for a Registered Nurse with PICU experience to engage in a fulfilling assignment, enhancing their skills in a challenging and dynamic environment.
