Grand Canyon National Park South Rim This full-time, year-round position is located within Grand Canyon National Park...live and work at one of the seven wonders of the world. Grand Canyon is home to a few thousand employees and their families in addition to hosting several million visitors each year. You will treat Canyon residents and visitors in both a primary care and urgent care setting. Housing within Grand Canyon National Park is available with this position. Under the supervision and direction of the Clinic Manager, provides outpatient nursing care and patient education/assistance by assessing patient medical needs, administering treatments, recording medical condition for physician's review, and a variety of other health care duties. Duties:Performs triage for walk-in patients.Observes and records patient's symptoms, assesses medical need for attention, and determines necessary lab data to obtain prior to being seen by provider.Administers medication and treatments to patients, including injections and immunizations and instructs them on proper follow-up procedures.Assists patients via the telephone to follow up on their recovery, provides assistance with the care of an illness or wound, and schedules/reschedules appointments.Maintains inventory of medical equipment, supplies, and appropriate pharmaceuticals to ensure adequate treatment of patients.Supervises in-house laboratory testing.Qualifications:Associates or bachelors degree in nursing and three or more years of clinical nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Hold or be able to obtain a valid State of Arizona R.N. license in good standing.
