The Radiology nurse works closely with the assigned radiologist and technologists to provide direct care to patients of all ages, before, during, and after radiology procedures and imaging. The radiology nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and responsible for administering medications, monitoring moderate sedation, and providing post procedure education. Wearing lead protective gear and a radiation dosimeter is required in some procedural areas. Job Requirements Education Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Experience Previous nursing experience preferred Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate effective leadership abilities Exhibits valuable time management skills Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills.
