POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Imaging (Radiology) RN Clinician will be responsible for representing ECHN to the Radiology Intervention patient in both the outpatient and inpatient setting.# The Radiology nurse will report directly to the Director of Medical Imaging and indirectly to the Team Leader of Interventional angiography. The Radiology RN Clinician provides nursing care by assessing the patient pre-and-post- procedure and assisting the Radiologist in the various diagnostic radiology testing.# Examples are:# Interventional angiography, US guided thorocentesis / paracentesis, CT guided biopsies and any pt care needs that come up in the Medical Imaging Department.# The Radiology, RN Clinician will administer conscious sedation and other prescribed medication or pharmacological agents during and post Radiology testing.# Participates in the operational duties of the department, such as but not limited to; Quality Improvement, Policy and Procedure maintenance, revising and development of billing and gathering of statistical data, developing departmental educational opportunities and participating in the on-going growth and maintenance of the excellent customer services provided to all that ECHN serves as well as assisting the supervisor/Director in maximizing the department#s financial resources.
