Note: Eligibility for benefits may vary by location. Job Summary and Qualifications The Rapid Response Team RN (RRT) will respond to all RRTs, Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis alerts and any other patient care emergency.
The RN RRT will perform surveillance by identifying the patients at risk for complications or becoming seriously ill by using proactive approach, making rounds frequently to collaborate with the bedside nurses as part of consultation without intimidating the bedside nurses.
The RN RRT will take the role of teacher both during and after the event in order to best help the inexperienced nurses.
What you will do in your role: You will attend all RRT's, code blues, heart alerts, stroke alerts, sepsis alerts and all other patient related emergencies.
You will also document all RRT events in a thorough and timely manner.
You will communicate professionally with the medical team and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
You will stay with the patient until the issue is resolved, appropriate interventions are completed and /or patient is safely transferred to the appropriate unit for ongoing management (assists with transport).
What qualifications you will need: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
3-5 years of recent experience in an ICU or an ER is required.
