Unit Highlights     Nurses on Unit 2E (Cardiac and Stroke) treat and care for a variety of patients with complex medical diagnoses including stroke, transplant, and heart failure as well as cardiac and orthopedic post-surgical patients. This 40-bed unit provides unique opportunities to include caring for patients with specialized needs including tracheostomies, peritoneal dialysis, and mechanical circulatory support.     Cardiac and stroke rehabilitation include aggressive physical, occupational, and speech therapies as well as emotional and psychological support to help patients reach their maximum mobility and cognitive goals. As a rehab Nurse o n 2 East, we take pride in collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to conduct individualized plans of care and facilitate a safe place where patients are encouraged and supported through their new lifestyle changes.     Come join our team where we pride ourselves on teamwork, fun, and professional development!       Key Responsibilities      The rehabilitation clinical nurse is a key member of the interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered rehabilitation nursing services to individuals with a disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function. The rehabilitation clinical nurse assists patients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for client's and their family's development. The rehabilitation clinical nurse designs and implements treatment strategies based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care and promotes physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health. Rehabilitation Nurses perform in roles as Teachers, Caregivers, Collaborators and Client Advocates. If prepared at the associate degree in nursing level, required to enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire date and completion within 3 years.     Prior Clinical Nursing experience preferred.     Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required .     This position has a hiring range of $37.50 - $54.92
