Summary We are seeking experienced nurses to join our Central Staffing Float Pool at Waldo County General Hospital ~New Float Pool Differentials available!~ The Central Staffing Float Pool offers a unique opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to expand their knowledge base and sharpen their skill set.
Nurses are given the opportunity to train on an array of units at Waldo County General Hospital.
The assortment of floors and units assigned to will provide an opportunity to practice in various clinical areas throughout the hospital.
A nurse working in the Central Staffing Float Pool must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, with remarkable adaptability and critical thinking expertise.
Having the ability to transition between departments including but not limited to medical-surgical, critical care, inpatient behavioral health and emergency is a must when working in Central Staffing. For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-3 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of experience!
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position.
Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Position Summary The Registered Nurse provides high quality patient and family centered care; in accordance with the scope of practice defined the Maine State Board of Nursing.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification.
ACLS and PALS preferred. Experience: A minimum three years acute care experience with one year critical care experience required.
Ability to float and work within a variety of hospital inpatient settings and the emergency department. As required by department, including Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women
