Registered Nurse (Rn) - Couplet Care - New To Specialty

Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the staff RN performsprofessional role functions in accordance with scope of practice andprofessional standards, including demonstrating the knowledge and ability touse and/or lead the scope of practice, professional standards and accreditation/ regulatory standards, scope of practice for LVN and all other nursingpersonnel e.g.
unlicensed assistive personnel.
The RN demonstrates theability to assess their own professional role performance, current knowledge oftheory and principles related to discipline specific practice, and the abilityto use a population based approach to determine patient needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.
Current CA State licensure as a Registered Nurse.


2.
Current CPR (AHA) certificate.


3.
NRP preferred upon hire.
Required within 3 months of employment for experiencedRN's; required within 6 months of employment for new grad RN's.


4.
Basic Fetal Monitoring required within 3 months of employment forexperienced nurses; required within 6 months of employment for new gradRN's.


*Minimum of one year RN experience
