The Emergency Department at Hartford Hospital, a tertiary care teaching hospital, is seeking both new graduate and experienced nurses to join our team. Recognized as being one of the busiest ED's in Connecticut, HHED is also an accredited Level 1 Trauma Center, chest pain center and comprehensive stroke center, treating patients of the highest acuity in the region. Comprised of 108 beds, with the addition of a new 19 bed ED Observation Unit, HHED treats an average of 109,000 patients annually.
As an Emergency Department RN on our team, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients with a broad range of complex medical needs. Our nurses are renowned for thinking and acting quickly to meet the varying needs of our patients, as well as being highly skilled, flexible and resilient; with the ability to work in a team environment to provide the highest level of satisfaction to our staff and our patients.

Qualifications • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. BSN degree required; ASN/ADN RNs with relevant experience may be considered.• Licensure: Current Connecticut RN license required prior to start date.• Experience: Previous acute care RN preferred, however new graduate RNs who are passionate about Emergency Medicine are welcomed and encouraged to apply.• Certifications: BLS certification by American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.We take great care of careers.With locations around the state, Hartford Healthcare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
