MedStarGeorgetown University Hospital's Emergency Department is staffed and equippedto care for 45,000 patients a year ranging from newborn to end of life.
TheMGUH ED provides high quality care to a wide variety of patients, includingadult and pediatric patients from the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Instituteand the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Additionally, MedStar Georgetownis accredited by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center andreceives acute patients from all around the DC region.
All the nurses in theEmergency Department are certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and are NIH StrokeCertified but many also have their CEN, TNCC, and ENPC certifications.Leadership supports and encourages nurses to enhance their educationalexpertise and professional development.

ModernizedEmergency Department: Ournewly expanded and modernized ED includes a fast-track area, separate ambulanceentrance, and 32 private treatment/exam rooms, facilitating efficient andhigh-quality patient care.
RooftopHelipad: Directaccess to our ICUs and ED via a rooftop helipad, allowing for swift andseamless patient transfers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.
You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
