Job Summary and Qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse. In this role you will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating the nursing care given to Oncology /BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant) patients. If this describes you, come be a part of what makes us great and apply today!
You will develop and implement individual patient care plans in accordance with standards of nursing practice through implementation of the nursing process and nursing diagnosisYou will administer medications as ordered for specific group of patients and demonstrates knowledge of their modes of action, side effects and contraindicationsYou will initiate, regulate and otherwise manages IV therapy for a specific group of assigned patientsYou will assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider complexity of nursing care required by each patientYou will evaluate patient environment for safety and communicates identified concerns to the appropriate person in a timely mannerYou will provide patient education and keeps patient informed of treatment planWhat qualifications you will need:
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of NevadaAACN National Certification preferredAttend Trauma Informed Care course as directed by Manager/DirectorCurrent BCLS certification from American Heart AssociationONS (Certification) required within 6 months of hire, transfer and/or currently in position (Oncology only)Graduate from an accredited school of nursingBSN preferredMinimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferredHCA Healthcare has been named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute for ten consecutive years (******** ).
