Absolute Hospice, Inc., provides quality and passionate care to patients within the comfort and privacy of their home or place of residence.The Hospice RN establishes a professional and caring relationship with our patients and families, support staff, physicians, discharge planners, social workers, facilities, and other healthcare professionals by providing hands-on care, on-going clinical management, and education regarding hospice care.As a Hospice RN, you will educate patients and their caregivers on their conditions and the steps needed to ensure proper recovery.This is an On-call positionFriday - Sun.Covering the Stark and Summit County areasThis is a salary position.Additional responsibilities of our Hospice RN include:Making initial nursing evaluation visitContinually evaluating the patient's needsInitiating, coordinating, and revising the treatment planRendering nursing care and performing treatments, as ordered by the physicianParticipating in the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement processPreparing accurate, orderly, and timely reports and documentationAdhering to all practice standards as they apply to patient careRequirements:Caring, patient, and flexible teacher with excellent communication and time management abilitiesPossess independent problem-solving abilities, excellent clinical assessment skillsAbility to lift/transfer patients to and from wheelchairs, if necessaryAssociate of Science degree in NursingValid Ohio RN licenseMinimum 2 years of nursing experience including hospice or home health experience preferredValid driver's license and one-year clean driving recordExcellent writing, communication, and charting skills
