Overview: Compensation / Benefits$27.84-$45.46/hr. based on previous work experience.Evening differential $2.50/hr.Night differential $3.00/hr.Weekend differential $3.00/hr.Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement.Our Med/Surg Observation Unit is a fast paced 16 bed telemetry/medical-surgical unit.  Common problems seen in our unit include chest pain, syncope, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and diabetes.  Our nurse patient ratio ranges from 4-6 patients depending on acuity.  Our care team includes a charge nurse and unit assistants with support from respiratory, lab, and case management departments.  We orient new nurses to our unit by providing a 6-8 week orientation program with a dedicated preceptor team, complemented by classroom courses, and a nurse residency program for new graduates. Take the next step of your Nursing journey and join our amazing Med/Surg Observation Unit, where our Nurses always deliver professional and compassionate care.  Responsibilities: RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy.Establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care.Evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation. Qualifications: EducationDiploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), orMaster's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.  ExperiencePrevious hospital experience helpful preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).  Licensure / CertificationCurrent Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.Other Knowledge / Skills / AbilitiesNew grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
