Overview: Norman Regional Health System's Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) staff cares for a wide variety of patients with complex cardiovascular medical conditions requiring intermediate or critical care, as well as post cardiac surgical patients, those transitioning for care post CABG and cardiac catheterization lab interventions. PCCU nurses are intuitive, critical thinkers and highly skilled to rapidly assess a patient's condition and intervene with immediate attention. Common medication drips include Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone. Responsibilities: RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation. Opportutnities for career ladder available Qualifications: Education Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. Experience Previous experience in healthcare field preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.  Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities New graduates will be required to complete Vizient/AACN Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program to ensure the best outcome for you during your transition period from school to becoming a professional nurse Compensation $27.84-$45.46/hr depending on previous work experience.
