Location: South Bend IN Job Type: Fulltime Multiple openings per shift: 1st 2nd or 3rd Job Summary: This will be a fulltime direct placement position. Registered Nurses (RNs) are critical members of the healthcare team providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients in various clinical settings. As an RN you will be responsible for assessing patients health conditions developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans administering medications and treatments and educating patients and their families on managing health conditions. Whether working in hospitals clinics or longterm care facilities RNs play a crucial role in coordinating patient care ensuring safety and improving health outcomes. RNs with specialization in intensive care units (ICUs) emergency rooms and longterm care are highly valued for their ability to manage complex and critical situations. Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients physical and mental health status including taking vital signs reviewing medical history and performing physical examinations. Care Planning: Develop implement and update individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments medical orders and best practices ensuring patient needs are met effectively. Medication Administration: Safely administer medications including IV therapy injections and oral medications according to physician orders and hospital protocols. Treatment Implementation: Provide and monitor treatments including wound care catheter care and other medical interventions ensuring adherence to established care plans. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions treatment plans and preventive health measures empowering them to manage their health effectively. Emotional Support: Offer emotional support to patients and their families addressing concerns and providing reassurance during stressful or critical situations. Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians specialists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care ensuring all aspects of patient health are addressed. Critical Care Management: For those in specialized units such as ICUs or emergency rooms manage critical care patients by monitoring lifesupport systems responding to emergencies and adjusting care plans as needed. Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care including assessments interventions medication administration and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Quality and Safety: Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and regulations to maintain high standards of care patient safety and infection control. Licensure: Must hold an active and unencumbered RN license in the state of Indiana. Education: Associates or Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program. Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and other specialty certifications are preferred depending on the area of practice. Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; specialized experience in ICU ER or longterm care is highly desirable. Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Proficient in medication administration and use of medical technology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in highpressure environments and manage multiple priorities. Compassionate and patientcentered approach to care. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand walk and move throughout the shift. Ability to lift move and position patients as needed.
