Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.We are in search of a Full-Time or Part Time Registered Nurse in Cumberland County, NJ to deliver care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
The Registered Nurse delivers care to individuals with disabilities in a community setting utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
This person will interact with individuals, significant others, and health team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.Starting pay is $80,000/annually* Candidates are eligible for a FT sign-on bonus of $1,500.00ResponsibilitiesProvide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by the standards of professional practice or lawEnsure individuals attend medical appointments per their Individual Support Plan (ISP)Advise supervisor of all concerns and issues related to the provision of nursing servicesCreate and distribute medical/health reports detailing general health, health care goals, and physician recommendationsConduct programmatic trainings including medication administration and delegationDevelop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developmentsTrain employees on the medical needs of assigned individualsMonitor health and medical conditions of individuals and refer for medical services as neededMonitor the use of medications through medication administration logsEnsure health service supplies are available and replenished as neededEnsure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timelyBuild a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and familiesParticipate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activitiesParticipate in circles of support for personal futures planningFollow strict OSHA procedures regarding blood borne pathogensEmployees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigationAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assignedMinimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in nursing fieldMinimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilitiesValid R.N.
