The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care. The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards. The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards. Staff is required to maintain a level of physical/mental health needed to perform their duties effectively.Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics and St. Mary's Healthcare Center's Mission and Service Excellence Standards.Education and/or Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota.Participates in educational opportunities and updates/maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.ACLS is required by 1 year of employment in E.R.Trauma Nurse Core Course is required within 1 year in E.R.PALS is required by one year of employment in E.R.Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.Certification in Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within one year of employment. Certification requirements to be maintained while working in the department.Licensure/Certification/Registration
Current licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure.Work Schedule
Varied shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks
Every other weekendEvery other holidayOccasional call time Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
