Overview: Norman Regional Health System's Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) staff cares for a wide variety of patients with complex cardiovascular medical conditions requiring intermediate or critical care, as well as post cardiac surgical patients, those transitioning for care post CABG and cardiac catheterization lab interventions. PCCU nurses are intuitive, critical thinkers and highly skilled to rapidly assess a patient's condition and intervene with immediate attention. Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
(Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
New graduates will be required to complete Vizient/AACN Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program to ensure the best outcome for you during your transition period from school to becoming a professional nurse
