Registered Nurse (Rn) Medical Surgical

*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. This role is critical in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, including critical care experience and the ability to perform physical examinations. As an RN, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.*Duties*- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.- Provide critical care support, including neonatal ventilator management and critical care transport.- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assist with sonography procedures as needed.- Phlebotomize patients for laboratory testing when required.- Implement and manage Botulinum toxin treatment protocols for eligible patients.- Lift and transfer patients safely while adhering to proper techniques.- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care.*Qualifications*- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.- Previous experience in a medical/surgical or critical care setting is preferred.- Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.- Ability to perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests effectively.- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation purposes.- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.- Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.Join our team of healthcare professionals dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our patients through exceptional nursing care.Job Type: ContractPay: $2,238.00 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Medical-SurgicalPhysical Setting:* HospitalExperience:* Medical Surgical: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* BLS Certification (Preferred)* RN License TN (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Nashville, TN: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
