Each specialized IMCshares a floor with its own Intensive Care Unit (ICU), promoting seamlesspatient throughput between different acuities.
This 28-bed unit is a certified by The Joint Commission asa comprehensive stroke center, setting the hospital's treatment of strokepatients among the best in the nation.
MedStar Georgetown is now one of only156 healthcare organizations in the United States to have earned thiscertification in highly-specialized stroke care.
Our Neurotele/Strokedepartment is one of MedStar Georgetown's three collaborative inpatientNeurological/Neurosurgical Units which are part of our nationally renownedNeurosciences Center of Excellence.
The patient population served here isprimarily Ischemic Stroke Patients, Post-acute Hemorrhagic Stroke Patients, andother Neurosurgery and Neurology patients requiring telemetry monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.
You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required.
