Department: Flex between Same Day Surgery & PACU Eden Park
Shift/Hours: .9 FTE, 36 hours per week
Schedule: Monday - Friday no call, no weekends

PACU Is the nursing unit where children recover from surgery. RN functions include treating pain/nausea and monitoring vitals. Once stable, patients are transferred to inpatient units or sent to Same Day for discharge.
Working as an RN in Same Day Surgery you will provide care to patients prior to their procedures. The RNs task include pre-op phone calls, assessments, IVs, & monitoring until procedure time.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
* Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited inst with 2 yr. exp.
* If hired as an external candidate without BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year of hire date and complete program within 5 years of hire date
* Active Ohio RN License. May be required to obtain other state licensure.
* Foreign graduates must have license validated through CGFNS per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates
Preferred:
* BSN from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution or MSN
