Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Stepdown Neuro Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 1.5 years of strong experience in telemetry and peripheral IV start License: Pending DC license accepted, but must have license prior to start date Certifications: - Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) - Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - 2 years of experience - Flexibility with rotating shifts between days and nights - Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Job Description: - Work in a short-term acute care teaching hospital with a total of 402 staffed beds.- Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.- Provide weekend coverage every other weekend (EOW).- Adjust to rotating shifts which may vary between days and nights within the same week.- Wear any color scrubs, as long as they do not feature other hospital logos.- Use Cerner for charting purposes.- Complete hospital-required modules, with an average of 12 hours pre-start, and potentially during orientation.- All employees are required to have the flu vaccine, with no exemptions.- Return staff policy requires any previous employees to have a gap of one year before returning as a traveler.
