Job Description:

Provides advanced and basic respiratory therapy, diagnostic procedures and related activities per
department protocol.
Provides cardiac diagnostic procedures and related activities per department protocol.
Attends high risk deliveries and C-sections when requested.
Works in support of the medical staff treatment plan by performing patient assessment, monitoring
patient condition, planning care accordingly, and implementing and evaluating the plan of care so that
problems are resolved and outcomes are optimized.
Educates patients and family around the plan of care and disease management. Evaluates learning
needs of patients and family and provides education consistent with patients learning style and
appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Evaluates the effectiveness of
patient/family learning.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care. Acts as a resource to other
clinical staff.
Recognizes need for and leads resuscitation efforts in accordance with guidelines until relieved by a
physician.
Records clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards,
and hospital policy.
May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.Ensures developmentally and medically appropriate care for all patient populations and age groups.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)works with patients that range from newborn to geriatric to perform allcardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and deliver all modalities of respiratorycare from basic to advanced. Provides the highest level of appropriate patientcare for patients in all areas of the hospital to include emergency patients,in-patients and out-patients.

MinimumQualifications & Requirements
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in theState of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
• NBRC RRT.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
• NRP certification.
• At least 2 years of well-rounded RT experience with a diverse patientpopulation.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with high risk deliveries and neonates preferred.
• Experience with EPIC preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Guaranteed Hours: While we cant guarantee hours on our contracts, your traveler will be scheduled for around 40 hours per week
