This position will provide sleep services 2-4 nights per week and/or as needed for PRN. Competitive hourly rates available, depending on experience and patient ratio.

MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.
Position Description and Responsibilities:A Polysomnographic Technologist/Technician works under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D., D.O.) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and out of center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A sleep technologist is able to perform the duties defined for a sleep technician and is able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. The sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology.
Key Responsibilities:Gather and Analyze Patient InformationComplete and verify documentationExplain pre-testing, testing, and post-testing procedures to the patientPrepare and calibrate equipment required for testingVerify patient video recording(s) is operating properlyApply electrodes and sensors according to accepted published standardsPerform appropriate physiologic calibrationsPerform positive airway pressure (PAP) mask fittingFollow procedural protocols for polysomnographic proceduresDocument observations and implement appropriate interventionsOversee and perform difficult and unusual proceduresScore sleep/wake stages and clinical eventsGenerate accurate reportsComply with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelinesMaintain current CPR or BCLS certificationDemonstrate effective communication skillsPhysical Demands of the Job:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
