JOB SUMMARY: As the Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that Ralco's animal feed additives and crop inputs adhere to all relevant regulations. This dynamic and multifaceted role demands a commitment to continuous learning and an understanding of both the current regulatory landscape and emerging market trends. You will need to be innovative in your problem-solving while maintaining strict compliance standards for our products. In this position, you will engage directly with state and federal regulators and serve as the primary liaison for industry and trade associations. Building and leveraging a robust network within the industry will be crucial for effective problem-solving and participation in committees that shape future laws and regulations affecting Ralco's market strategy. You will also be responsible for ensuring that Ralco remains current on all licenses, product renewals, and tonnage reports. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing Ralco's patent portfolio, safeguarding our intellectual property. This position will also be key to navigating carbon credits, methane reduction, and how the emerging regulations affect producers and Ralco products by bridging the gap between the complexities of the regulatory requirements and the technical needs. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication are essential, as collaboration with cross-functional teams will be vital. You will work closely with Ralco's International Registration, Nutritional Support, QA/QC, and Marketing teams to ensure compliance and uphold our commitment to quality and innovation. KEY WORK DUTIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS:Regulatory Compliance: Oversee and ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations within animal feed additives and crop inputs. Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry standards.Product Registration: Manage the registration process for new and existing products, including preparation and submission of documentation to regulatory authorities.Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the safety and efficacy of products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and marketing teams to ensure regulatory considerations are integrated throughout product development and lifecycle management. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain meticulous records and documentation related to compliance activities and regulatory submissions. Prepare and maintain comprehensive regulatory documents, including technical files, safety data sheets, and product labeling. Ensure all documentation is accurate and accessible. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for the company's interests and navigate regulatory challenges. Attend AAFCO and AFIA annual meetings and conferences. Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to internal teams on regulatory requirements and best practices, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.Intellectual Property Management: Help manage Ralco's patent portfolio, ensuring the protection of intellectual property and innovations. Collaborate with legal teams to address patent-related issues and strategies.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., animal science, regulatory affairs, life sciences). Experience: 3+ years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably within the animal feed or agriculture sector. In-depth knowledge of applicable regulations, ingredient approval processes, product registrations, and important regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA, CVM, EPA, AAFCO, AAPFCO, AFIA). Physical: The following activities are required as needed to perform the job function: lifting, driving, bending, climbing, carrying, and twisting. Confined space entry is not required.
